600 km brevet S Primorske na Goričko in nazaj je v sklopu dogodkov, ki se odvijajo ob 1000 km brevetu in bikepacking tekmovanju 1000km.si. Poteka kot diagonala iz zahodnega dela Slovenije do skrajnega severovzhoda in nazaj. Na štartu je dovolj parkirnih mest, zato glede tega ne bi smela biti težava.

Možen je tudi prevoz enega kosa prtljage na KT Hodoš. Tam bo tudi na razpolago hrana in pijača, … vse to pa je že vključeno v prijavnino.

Tam je možnost tudi prenočitve in tuširanja, vendar le po predhodni najavi (v prijavnici) in ob doplačilu 15 €.

Opis trase:

Štart bo v Ajdovščini pred Osnovno šolo Šturje. Brez ogrevanja zagrizemo v klanec, ki je le v prvem delu malenkost bolj strm, po 17 kilometrih pa doseže vrh in najvišjo točko tega breveta, ki je na 875 metrih nad morjem.

Sledi nekaj vožnje po planoti, na 18,7 km pa pridemo do gostilne Stara pošta, kjer je manjša muzejska zbirka o rimski utrdbi in obrambnem sistemu Rimljanov, v neposredni bližini pa je urejen tudi arheološki park. Za tem pride hiter spust v Logatec, kasneje pa še v Vrhniko. Do Ljubljane, ki je glavno mesto Republike Slovenije se pripeljemo po kolesarski poti, kolesarska povezava pa je tudi skozi Ljubljano. Na mostu čez Ljubljanico je prva kontrolna točka, nedaleč naprej pa na Trojanah še druga v Gostišču Trojane, kjer se bomo okrepčali z njihovimi znamenitimi krofi.

Po daljšem spustu nas čaka ravnina, pred Šentrupertom pa zavijemo desno na stransko cesto in se ob desnem bregu Savinje pripeljemo v Celje, ki je tretje največje mesto v Sloveniji. Kmalu za tem pridemo v Šentjur, kjer je na bencinski črpalki Petrol tretja kontrolna točka.

Do Ptuja, kjer je na kolesarskem mostu čez Dravo četrta kontrolna točka nas čaka nekaj bolj razgibana trasa. Ne preveč, le toliko, da ravnina ne postane dolgočasna.

Vedno bolj se približujemo Prekmurju in po 248 prevoženih kilometrih prečkamo reko Muro. Po ravnem terenu pridemo do pete kontrolne točke, ki je v Bogojini. To je Plečnikova cerkev.

Od tam je spet malenkost bolj razgiban teren vse do Hodoša, kjer je polovica našega breveta in šesta kontrolna točka v Mladinskem hotelu na Hodošu. Tam se boste lahko najedli testenin v neomejenih količinah, prav tako pa bo na razpolago brezalkoholna pijača prav tako v neomejeni količini. Vsi udeleženci bodo lahko koristili tudi osnovno kolesarsko orodje, pumpo, tam pa bomo lahko tudi napolnili svoje elektronske naprave.

S polnimi želodci ne bo težko nadaljevati. Do cilja nas čaka le še druga polovica tega breveta, torej še 300 km, ki gre večinoma po isti trasi (le z manjšimi odstopanji), kot smo jo že prevozili v prvem delu. Pred ciljem v Ajdovščini nas čaka še dolg in zelo hiter spust, tako da na koncu ne bomo čutili neke posebne utrujenosti, tam pa seveda rečemo tisto znamenito: ”To pa je bila čista uživancija!”.

The 600 km brevet “From Primorska to Goričko and Back” is part of the events taking place alongside the 1000 km brevet and the bikepacking race 1000km.si. The route follows a diagonal line from the western part of Slovenia to the far northeast of the country and back again.

There is plenty of parking available at the start, so this should not be an issue.

It is also possible to transport one piece of luggage to the control point in Hodoš. Food and drinks will be available there as well, and all of this is already included in the entry fee.

Overnight accommodation and showers are also available there, but only with prior notice (in the registration form) and with an additional payment of €15.

Route Description

The start will be in Ajdovščina in front of Osnovna šola Šturje. Without any warm-up, we immediately tackle a climb that is only slightly steeper in its first section. After 17 kilometers, we reach the summit and the highest point of this brevet at 875 meters above sea level.

This is followed by several kilometers across the plateau, and at km 18.7 we arrive at Gostilna Stara Pošta, where there is a small museum collection about the Roman fortress and defensive system of the Romans. An archaeological park is also located nearby. After this comes a fast descent to Logatec, followed later by another descent into Vrhnika.

We reach Ljubljana, the capital of the Republic of Slovenia, via a cycling path, and there is also cycling infrastructure through the city itself. The first control point is located on the bridge over the Ljubljanica River, and not far ahead, at Trojane, the second control point awaits us at a local restaurant, where we will refresh ourselves with their famous doughnuts.

After a long descent, a flat section follows. Before Šentrupert we turn right onto a side road and continue along the right bank of the Savinja River to Celje, the third-largest city in Slovenia. Shortly afterwards we reach Šentjur, where the third control point is located at a Petrol gas station.

The route towards Ptuj, where the fourth control point is located on the cycling bridge over the Drava River, becomes slightly more rolling. Not too demanding — just enough to keep the flatlands from becoming monotonous.

We continue approaching the region of Prekmurje, and after 248 kilometers we cross the Mura River. Across flat terrain we arrive at the fifth control point in Bogojina. This is the famous Plečnik church.

From there, the terrain becomes slightly more undulating again all the way to Hodoš, which marks the halfway point of our brevet and the sixth control point at the youth hostel in Hodoš. There you will be able to enjoy unlimited pasta, as well as unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. All participants will also have access to basic bicycle tools, a pump, and charging facilities for electronic devices.

With full stomachs, continuing will not be difficult. All that remains is the second half of the brevet — another 300 km, mostly following the same route (with only minor deviations) that we already covered in the first part. Before the finish in Ajdovščina, a long and very fast descent awaits us, so in the end we probably will not feel especially tired. And there, of course, we will say the famous words:

“Now that was pure enjoyment!”
